1. Capacity Building Training for Agriculture Officials on Agrometeorology
The Worls Meteorological Organization (WMO) Regional Training Center of the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), United Arab Emirates, is pleased to announce hosting of a two-week Capacity Building Training for Agriculture Officials on Agrometeorology.
This hybrid agro-meteorology training program will be held in the NCM HQ, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from 29 September to 10 October 2025.
The primary objectives of this training are to:
- Develop skilled trainers from diverse disciplines, including meteorologists, agriculture planners, agriculturists, and extension officers. These trainers will be equipped to generate, communicate, and apply agrometeorological information effectively for risk and resource management within the agriculture sector.
- Empower trainers to subsequently train local agriculture officials and farmer groups, enabling them to design and implement their own agrometeorological training programs.
- Ensure all stakeholders in the agricultural sector possess the necessary knowledge and skills to respond effectively to climate variability and extreme weather events associated with climate change, while also harnessing potential resources linked to favorable weather conditions.

The participants are required to arrange their own travel, accommodation and other arrangements in case attending in person.
